Few States in USA have defined guidelines with respect to Pharmaceutical product consignments landing within their jurisdiction. This requires an electronic pedigree whenever change in ownership occurs and tracking of each Rx drug to the smallest package or the intermediate container.

i-TEK has a ready proof-of-concept using a combination of 2D barcodes and RFID for serialization of the packages and maintaining the pedigree. The system has been evaluated in i-TEK RFID Lab and appreciated by several Pharmaceutical companies.
